EP. 06 How to Handle The Healing Crisis Without Making it a Crisis

A healing crisis is a temporary worsening of symptoms after receiving or beginning MFR treatment. In a healing crisis, symptoms briefly worsen before beginning to improve. As a result, a client may want to end the treatment prematurely. This is why it is important for you to help your client become aware of and prepared for the symptoms of a healing crisis, should they occur. As an MFR therapist, it’s your goal to help as many people as possible with pain management, it’s not to convince people into treatment, it’s to fully help them and you can do this by educating them on what’s possible with MFR. And so today I want to discuss several ways that you can manage your patient’s expectations with MFR therapy and prepare them for the possible healing crisis.
